Die Casting
The die-casting process utilizes molds injected with a high-pressure liquid metal to manufacture parts, components and custom products. The ability to produce large quantities at a very low unit cost is one of the biggest attractions of custom dies casting. A wide range of metal alloys is also available for the die-casting process, including aluminum, copper, magnesium, zinc and other specialty die-casting alloys.
Huicong Hardware offers quality custom die-casting services for your part, component and product needs. The die-casting process also allows for the creation of parts with complex shapes and unique tolerances. Our custom die-cast products can be created with very short leads, resulting in shorter customer turnaround times. At Huicong Hardware, we can make die castings ranging from a few ounces to 100 pounds.

At Huicong Hardware, our custom die-casting process offers numerous advantages over other types of metalworking methods. Our die-casting services produce parts that are durable, consistent, and offer high-quality features. Some of the other advantages associated with die-casting include
Excellent strength-to-weight ratio
Dimensional accuracy
Enhanced stability
High-speed production
Multiple finishing techniques
Easy assembly
Die-casting applications
For high-volume production, die casting is an effective manufacturing process. At Huicong Hardware, we use die casting to make high-quality parts for a variety of industries.
Some examples of the die-cast parts we make include
Housings | Gears | Bushings | Pumps | Lamp shades | Electrical boxes and housings | Valves
Huicong Hardware utilizes two different types of machines to produce the high-quality custom die castings. Hot chamber machines are used exclusively for low melting point alloys, such as zinc. Conversely, cold chamber machines are used for alloys with high melting temperatures, such as aluminum and brass. However, in both machines, after the molten metal is injected into the mold, it quickly cools and solidifies into a final part called casting.
Die casting typically uses non-ferrous alloys that offer many benefits, and the three most common alloys used by Huicong Hardware in its die-casting methods include
Aluminum | Brass | Zinc
Parts, assemblies and products manufactured through the die-casting process do not require additional finishing services. However, if you wish to finish the surface of a die-cast part or assembly, we offer the following types of finishing services.
Shot blasting
Vibratory finishing
Electroplating
Painting
Powder coating
Anodizing
Acid Etching
Solution Color Patinas
With minimal surface preparation, zinc castings can be easily plated or finished. Other metals may require additional surface preparation, as die castings are smoother than most other forms of castings. Check out our services page to learn about other metal finishes and the services we offer.
